The story follows a recognizable pattern; there are lots of cliches, and the tropes are well known to anyone who has read books in the genre. Characters, both previous and new, are shallow and uncomplicated.

There is a storyline, but it is not original and does not appeal to the player. The stakes are contrived, and the lack of well-drawn characterizations makes it hard to care about their conflicts. That is an area that is one of the weakest parts of the narrative in “Havoc”, so to speak, and is therefore troubled in the first place.
