Description:
SEGA AGES Virtua Racing (V.R.) is a 1992 arcade release of a Formula One Racing video game developed by Sega AM2 and published by Sega. It was originally a proof-of-concept app for the new 3D graphics platform “Model 1”. The arcade game has three levels (courses) marked with difficulty. The beginner level is Big Forest, intermediate is Bay Bridge and the expert is Acropolis.
A special feature is unique to each level, such as an amusement park in the “Big Forest”. M2’s virtua racing is proof that the Switch can be a good platform for Sega Model 1’s divine austerity. As a three-course arcade racer with one car, Virtua Racing only goes as far as its $8 price tag. But as seen through the eyes of arcade and Sega fans,
